Welcome to kjmlabs.com. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your purchase of the KJM Labs products. By placing an order through our website, you enter into a legally binding agreement with KJM Labs OÜ.

2. Product Specifics & Compatibility

The KJM Labs Shade is a standardized product engineered specifically for the MacBook Pro 14″ model.

  • User Responsibility: It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure their laptop model is compatible before ordering.
  • Liability: KJM Labs OÜ is not liable for orders placed for incorrect laptop models. Returns due to compatibility errors are subject to our standard return shipping policy (Section 5).

3. Pricing and Payments

  • Currency: All prices are displayed in Euros (EUR) and are inclusive of Estonian VAT where applicable. For international orders, your bank or card issuer will apply the prevailing exchange rate at the time of transaction.
  • Payment Processing: We use SureCart and Stripe for secure payment processing. We do not store your credit card information.
  • Ownership: Legal ownership of the product passes to you only after full payment is received.

4. Global Shipping & Customs

We ship from Tallinn, Estonia, to customers worldwide.

  • Importer of Record: For orders delivered outside the European Union (including the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia), the customer is the “Importer of Record.”
  • Duties & Taxes: You are responsible for all local import duties, VAT, GST, and customs clearance fees. KJM Labs OÜ is not responsible for delays or additional costs imposed by your local customs authorities.
  • Delivery Estimates: Shipping times are estimates. We are not liable for delays caused by third-party carriers or customs processing.

5. Right of Withdrawal & Returns (Global)

We offer a 14-day return window to all customers globally.

  • The Window: You have 14 days from the date of delivery to notify us of your intent to return the product.
  • Condition: To be eligible for a refund, the shade must be returned in its original packaging and in “as-new” condition. If the product shows signs of use, scratches, or damage, we reserve the right to reduce the refund amount to reflect the loss in value.
  • Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping to our facility in Estonia unless the product is defective.

6. 2-Year Legal Guarantee (Warranty)

In accordance with EU law, all products sold by KJM Labs OÜ carry a 2-year legal guarantee against manufacturing defects.

  • Coverage: If the product is faulty or does not perform as advertised within 2 years of delivery, we will repair it, replace it, or provide a refund at our discretion.
  • Exclusions: This guarantee does not cover “wear and tear,” accidental damage, or damage caused by improper installation or misuse by the customer.
  • Claims: Please contact info@kjmlabs.com with your order number and photo evidence of the defect.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KJM Labs OÜ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including damage to your MacBook Pro) resulting from the use or improper installation of the product. Our total liability is strictly limited to the purchase price of the product.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images (including professional photography), and the functional design of “The Shade,” is the exclusive property of KJM Labs OÜ and is protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute our designs or media without express written permission.

9. Force Majeure

KJM Labs OÜ shall not be held responsible for any delay or failure in performance of any part of these Terms to the extent that such delay or failure is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, customs delays, or global logistics disruptions.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Estonia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the purchase of our products shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Harju County Court in Tallinn, Estonia.
